Audit Manager for Compliance

Company Description

A major Securities house is seeking a motivated individual to provide support to join their growing team as a Compliance specialist

Responsibilities

*Assess the effectiveness of controls of the Compliance functions and determine corrective actions required
*Remain abreast of industry and regulatory developments and long-term strategies across the corporation
*Develop effective line management relationships
*Responsible for monitoring the developments in the Compliance area and recommending appropriate solutions for risk and control problems
*Work in a multi-disciplined team and gain exposure to group companies outside Japan

Requirements

*6-10 years of experience in a Compliance function within a financial institution in Japan
*Excellent presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
*Excellent Interpersonal skills coupled with strong judgment
*Excellent analytic skill to understand diverse complex business and compliance issues
*Advanced degree and bi-lingual (preferred)
*Prior audit experience is an advantage, but not a pre-requisite
