Responsibilities

This role is a generalist role with a focus on L&D and Talent Management. The right candidate will:
*Work with the business to take ownership of talent management including talent acquisition and retention, creation of succession plans, and management of learning and development programs
*Manage and streamline the recruitment process for mid-career hiring
*Identify top-performers and potential top-performers in the company, and target their development
*Conduct training needs analysis to identify key target areas
*Coordinate and implement local training for all levels of employees
*Interact with global headquarters in order to supplement global training initiatives and provide logistical support for the global training programs
*Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through follow-up with line managers and vendors
*Liaise with, evaluate, and coordinate/manage vendors
*Conduct other generalist duties as needed

Requirements

*10 years of overall HR experience or equivalent with strengths in recruiting and L&D
*Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
*3-5 years of specialist experience in L&D with a track record of success
*Background in the finance industry or other experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
*Strong communication skills including a high level of proficiency in English
*Desire to take a hands-on-approach to learning and development
*Knowledge of financial products a plus
*Fluent Japanese and Business Level English

Preferred Experience

*Experience as a specialist in Recruiting or Leaning & Development in Foreign Financial Institution
*International experience or Previous foreign employer
*Oracle HR experience
*Knowledge of financial products/business
