Accounting Manager in an IT company

Company Description

*Our client is a major American network services provider with a significant presence and growing business in Japan
*They have about 600 staff and are looking for a talented Accounting Manager to manage a small team while reporting to the Controller in Japan

Responsibilities

*Report to Controller in Japan and manage a team of 4
*US GAAP based financial reporting for Japan operations
*Japan statutory and tax reporting and compliance
*Internal and external audit support
*Financial reporting to minority shareholder
*Financial and control advisory to business operations
*Sarbanes Oxley compliance and internal control
*Implementation of corporate policy and SOA for Japan business operations
*Complying with requests and queries from corporate, regional office and business operations
*Managing company assets (fixed assets and A/R etc) safe
*Manage finance staff to perform accounting and finance functions effectively and develop a team of professional staff to achieve excellence in finance
*Participating in accounting, tax management, business discussions

Requirements

*10 years of accounting experience
*Working experience and in-depth knowledge of US GAAP requirements
*Fluency in written and spoken English and Japanese
*Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification. US CPA or qualified accountant equivalent required

Preferred Experience

*Experience with audits and internal controls
