Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the supporting the Head of Operations and management team in 2 areas:
1) Transformation services, including project management,
2) Risk, controls and metrics
This role is central to delivering the goal of Operational excellence through the management of projects to improve processes and procedures and through the collecting and analysis of meaningful metrics to assist in management and decision making.
The role will liaise closely with the Head of Transformation Services, the various Global Functional Heads and also the other regional business analysts. This role will ensure that the Head of Operations and the Japan management team is well supported in the areas of Risk Analysis, metrics, business analysis and project management. It will liaise closely with the Head of Transformation Services, the Global Head of Operations Performance Metrics and the Global Head of Operations Risk Management

• To provided consistently superior levels of service to our clients, measured in terms of timeliness and accuracy, across the service lifecycle
Requirements
The candidate should have a deep experience of the workings of an Asset Management or Investment Bank Operations team and a strong preference will be given to a candidate who is also experienced in the Japanese context. This role will need to have the following competencies:
• A strong client focus to ensure the expectations of stakeholders and our clients are met
• Sound analytical and conceptual skills
• Minimum of five years managerial/project experience gained in a Financial Operations environment - covering equity, fixed income, foreign exchange, derivatives or 3+ years management Consulting or Business Analysis or 3+ years experience in financial services industry
• Minimum of an undergraduate degree level education.
• Intermediate MS Office skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail orientated and ability to work well under time constraints and with multiple projects.
• Strong organizational and planning skills, experience of project management and Business Process Reengineering, preferably gained within the context of the asset management process
