Credit Risk Analyst in investment banks

Company Description

My client, one of the workld's leading investment banks, runs and exciting credit team in which memebers double-hat in both advisory and risk management. They require individuals with strong analytical and communication skills who are hungry to learn and grow while protecting the interests of the business.

Responsibilities

*Work as a credit analyst on both industry and product teams
*Manage risk and protect the firm's capital by analyzing counterparties and setting appropriate risk levels
*Industry teams mirror the structure of the Investment Banking division and include retail, energy & power, financial institutions, sovereigns, hedge funds, consumer goods, transportation, and technology, media & telecom
*Product teams are aligned with the firm's Sales and Trading business and include swaps, credit derivatives, foreign exchange, equity derivatives, bank loans and commercial paper, among others

Requirements

*Strong academic background with relevant advanced degrees being preferred
*Relevant qualifications (CFA, CPA, etc.) are a strong advantage
*Experience in an analytical function within a bank/securities firm including credit analysis, equity analysis, investment banking, etc. strongly preferred
*Big 4 candidates with excellent skills and strong motivation to develop careers in a credit function can be considered
*Strong detail orientation, analytical ability and communication skills are essential

Preferred Experience

*Fluency in both English and Japanese (written and spoken) is essential.
