Overview

*Work part time in Tokyo, part time in Tohoku

Company Description

*Our client is a US heavy industry manufacturing company with 600 employees in Japan and a factory in the Tohoku region.

Responsibilities

*Develop and train plant Finance staff
*Work directly with plant manager to control spending, confirm cost reductions, and proactively implement needed tools to achieve EBITDA & OCF targets
*Track, report and analyze actual financial/non-financial results, forecasts and budgets
*Implement and maintain internal, financial and inventory controls
*Variance analysis, bridges, account reconciliations, CapEx payback analysis, Japan tax compliance and other duties as assigned.
*Report and analyze FC Business results and projections.

Requirements

*At least 6 - 12 years experience in accounting/finance including 2 years experience in cost accounting
*Comprehensive understanding of both US GAAP and JP GAAP is preferred
*Fluent Japanese and business level English (email, report, meeting and conference call)
*Proven record in developing & growing a business
*Advanced or intermediate level of EXCEL

*Previous working experience in US based company is a plus
