Company Description

A large multinational consumer goods company with over 1000 employees in Japan and 8% sales growth seeks a qualified Financial Controller. This company is listed in both Japan and the US.

Responsibilities

-Report to the CFO and supervise a team of 11 staff
-Prepare PL statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports
-Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts
-Oversee cash control including payment, AR/AP and case flow control
-Analyze revenue and expenditure trends to recommend appropriate budget levels
-GAAP adjustments between US and Japan
-Tax planning and compliance with Japan GAAP, SOX

Requirements

-US and/or Japan CPA is essential
-Previous training with Big-4 Accounting firm is highly preferred
-Minimum 10 years experience in all areas of accounting is required
-Native level Japanese and Advanced English is required
