Company Description

* Our client is the global market leader in engineering and service solutions for the maritime transportation and offshore industries
* Ship owners, ship and port operators and shipyards in the commercial marine and offshore industries are their customers
* Products include hatch covers, cranes, equipment for RoRo ships and ports, and solutions for cargo lashing, bulk handling, offshore load-handling and naval logistics
* They also provide worldwide service and support

Responsibilities

* Great attitude, behaviour, and passion
* In charge of all of Japan business
* Open, positive, must be conservative with clients but wild internally
* Reports to President in Japan, Merchant Shipping Division
* 50% business trips throughout Japan
* Hands on person who is mature (older person preferred). Someone from Osaka is welcomed (positive, outgoing)
* Training may be in Finland as well

Requirements

* Marine manufacturing experience a must
* In charge of 3 Sales, 1 Assistant, 1 Technical Support
* Must have excellent negotiation skills with a heart in engineeering
* Bilingual a must. Native level Japanese preferred but flexible as long as he/she understands the Japanese culture/history of industry
* Knowledge and experience in Purchasing as well as SAP
* Sales experience in shipping industry preferred
