UK-based Financial Institution seeks experienced accountant to lead the Finance&Credit function within its Japanese operations

Responsibilities
Take responsibility for the full range of Finance-related activities within the businesses, including
*Providing finance advice and support to local business management, including production of meaningful management information
*Managing a small team of staff
*Liaison with&reporting to local external authorities
*Liaison with&reporting to UK&European-based internal finance departments
*Budgeting&forecasting,including analysis of variations,
*Ensuring appropriate bookkeeping for all items of income and expense, especially financial products, including money market, FX, securities and derivatives
*Maintaining cost controls
*Oversight of Invoice processing/accounts payable
*Oversight of credit processes(applications for limits, monitoring exposures, excess reporting)
Requirements
*Preferably a qualified accountant
*Experience of managing a team of staff
*Up-to-date with Japanese GAAP and IFRS
*Worked for an international financial institution
* Applicable Experience:
*Fluent in Japanese&English
