Responsibilities
* Approval of the monthly package submission by the Japan Accounting Manager
* Higher level sign off on Japan local expenditure and team expenses
* Working with the Japan Accounting Manager and appropriate support to develop written internal control processes sufficient to meet J-SOX requirements
* The preparation and submission of the Group accounts.
* Close liaison with the entire group on accounting policy, disclosure guidelines, timelines and change issues.
* Liaison and response with the Auditors in respect of the Group consolidated accounts
* Submission of the Tax returns in cooperation with the Tax Manager
* Approving the consolidation package to be distributed quarterly and managing the Consolidation team
* Working on the Global Chart of Accounts to maintain consistency for the preparation of the consolidated accounts in J-GAAP and the support of audit adjustments.
* Working with other group companies on the removal of inconsistencies in the system handling of the accounting, and provision of required reporting.
* Maintain Group reporting timetable and coordinating this with all relevant subsidiaries
* Work with the management and the group on Internal control processes for the Nexon Japan Group work and ensure that these are effected efficiently
* Work with IPO team for Accounting requirement issues and response to detailed Due Diligence
* Keep overall control of the Group reporting to FPNA etc with an understanding of confidentiality limits.
* The Senior Japanese Finance contact for local regulatory agencies, banks and the TSE
Requirements
* A minimum of 7 years accounting or related field to include accounts preparation in a system environment (eg Oracle, SAP etc)
* Experience working with budgets and forecasts
* Experience should include working in a multinational environment with some exposure to different GAAP standards
* Team management experience within an accounting department
