Company Description

* Our client is one of the world's leading law firms
* They are looking for a Business Development & Marketing Manager for their Tokyo office to start as soon as possible
* The Tokyo office has been operating for over 20 years and currently comprises over over 100 members of staff

Responsibilities

* You will be responsible for assisting with business development-related measures for all our practice groups in Tokyo. In so doing, you will co-operate closely with the general manager and assist with devising, executing and implementing office and practice area strategies including development of the profile and client relationships of the Tokyo office
* The spectrum of your tasks will range from carrying out client and market analyses as well as client relationship management, devising of presentations and other marketing materials to organising events tailored to the specific concerns and needs of clients

Requirements

* Graduate calibre with proven BD and marketing capabilities
* Have Experience dealing with partners, senior management and key stakeholders and have well developed, influencing and presentation skills
* A global perspective and the ability to work in a diverse, cosmopolitan team are crucial
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels in the organisation are also required
* Be creative and have the proven ability of identifying and driving new ideas;
* Have excellent workload prioritisation and time management skills with the ability to work on own initiative and without direct day-to-day supervision
* A good grasp of technology, particularly online environments
* Advanced level English
* Japanese language skills are not essential. Language training will be provided on the job

Preferred Experience

* Ideally have people management skills and experience
* Knowledge of the Asian region - culture and markets - would be an advantage. You should have an active interest in the business environment of Japan and its role in world markets

* Have excellent international team working and communication skills
