Company Description

My client is one of the world's top global investment banks as well as being considered among the best financial firms to work for in Tokyo. They are currently seeking an experienced audit professional with industry knowledge to strengthen their local team.

Responsibilities

*Assisting in developing the annual audit plan including coordination with other regional and global teams/team leaders

*Audit execution including risk assessments, planning, fieldwork, workpaper documentation and audit report drafting

*Client relationship management through liaising with business and support groups to proactively engage and discuss in risk control frameworks as part of a value added service and continuous monitoring *Contributing to activities such as control committees and ad-hoc advisory roles

*Supporting the Pacific Rim region in all its audit functions, although primarily focused on Japan

*Some potential travel may be available but opportunities will be relatively limited

Requirements

*A minimum of 4 years relevant industry and auditing experience; strong exposure to an investment bank or securities house is ideal
*Professional accounting qualification (or in process)
*Possess strong business acumen and knowledge of the securities business process flows
*Proactive in nature, assertive, inquisitive, analytical, and possess a keen attention to detail with the ability to work independently

* Applicable Experience:
*Bachelor/Masters Degree or equivalent
