Overview

Develop the HR function in a new business line

Company Description

Our client is a globally-recognized brand name that provides a wide variety of financial products and business solutions

Responsibilities

*To strengthen the Human Resources strategy to support expansion of the business line as part of an overall business transformation strategy in Japan

*To expand employment flexibility, conditions, and benefits to meet diversity needs in line with employee demographics

*To execute end to end talent management including hiring, orientation, training, talent assessment and reward and retention working closely with line managers

*To ensure career path planning/training and to implement a system of rotation between different business units

*To develop a detailed employment transfer plan to move existing staff into new business units

*To conduct job level and compensation assessment

*Lead an employee engagement survey working with line management

*Act as an HR business partner and mentor to staff

*Provide the critical leadership to achieve the above goals in order to strengthen the framework and foundation of new employment scheme

Requirements

*Strategic thought leadership, innovative mindset and inter-personal relationship competency to work with line managers and directors/managers concerning sensitive employment matters
*Understanding of the Japanese HR market and employment trends (Essential)
*Solid HR policy/management experience and a long term view on employment
*Excellent C&B knowledge
*Position requires strong bilingual (Japanese and English) communication abilities
*This position will report to the Head of HR and to the local head of the business line
