Responsibilities
The launch manager is a unique position focusing on pre-sales, sales, project management and project launch. It is a strongly customer facing role requiring good project management skills. In this role you will interface globally with other offices as well as locally both on and off site of the customer. It is a dynamic and challenging role that enables you to manage the project from conception to completion.
* Interface with customers and maintain strong relationships.
* Understand the trends of the DTV market and customers’ needs.
* Write sales proposals to meet the customer specifications based on market trends and customer requirements.
* Manage internal team assigned to customer project.
* Once a project begins the Launch manager functions as a primary single contact point to the customer. He/She will gather requirements from the customer, and write the required specifications for the customization of the company’s product. While continually negotiating project requirements, budget and timeline with the customer.
* Updating customer license agreements
* Planning new feature enhancements with customer/partner
* Follow-up and maintain relationship with customers after projects deployment.
Requirements
* Project management skills and knowledge of software
* Stong communication skills in Japanese and English
* Applicable Experience:
* Has to embedded sales experience, preferrable with DTV (relating to OpenTVs technology)
