Responsibilities
*Meeting deadlines on investment trust activities including documentation and fund governance in accordance within the guidelines of the firm and in line with law and regulations.
*Ensuring components of new investment trust products and processes are rolled out on time and on budget.
*Working closely with other business areas (Investments, Client Relations and Compliance) to ensure a high quality of service and client satisfaction.
*Overseeing investment trust documentation (Trust Deeds/Prospectus)
*Coordinating and overseeing activities with our outsourced partners and overseas offices
*Participating in strategic initiatives (product, and business) that impact the Investment Trust Management team.
*Partnering with the Intermediary and Financial Instruments client relations teams in rolling out new business strategies including new client and fund types.
*Managing a team of up to 5 individuals
Requirements
*Currently holds a similar position at a major investment management firm
*Expertise and knowledge regarding investment trusts
*Experience in Investment Trust Law, Securities Law and Financial Instruments and Exchange Law as the related to investment trusts
*Creative and proactive thinker who takes initiative
*Ability to identify risk situations and provide solutions
*Execution-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
*Strong interpersonal and leadership skills: decisive yet collaborative communication style
*Strong people management skills
*People energizer/motivator who can develop talent
*Ability to be honest and up front with opinion and facts
*Sense of urgency and ability to execute
*Native Japanese level and Business level English
*University graduate
