Responsibilities
*Responsible for the compliance infrastructure and regulatory compliance of the Japan P&L including the Financial Instruments and Exchange Law and the Real Estate and Building Transaction Business Law
*Develop and monitor infrastructures, processes and policies to comply with regulatory requirements
*Set annual compliance priorities, goals, and operating rhythms for Compliance Review Board Meetings
*Be the main contact person in case of audits by government authorities and conduct internal compliance investigations
*Design and implement compliance trainings throughout Japan
Requirements
*Native Japanese speaker with business-level English
*Regulatory compliance experience
*Experience with handling FSA audits
*Basic knowledge of the real estate and finance industry and of Japanese laws, especially laws applicable to the real estate/finance industry
*Good written and oral communication skills
*Demonstrated analytical, project management and implementation skills; well organized, detail oriented, an ability to multi-task
*10% travel potential (within Japan)
