Financial Controller - Asia Pacific

*20-person subsidiary seeks ambitious and outgoing Controller to support business development across the Asia-Pacific region


*British, public company seeking qualified, hands-on Finance professional to support the regional VP and Corporate FD
*Global operations and market leader worldwide
*Aggressive M&A strategy and expansion plans for the Asia-Pacific region
*20-person office in Tokyo

Responsibilities

*Oversee and manage the Tokyo finance function and all 3rd party accounting service providers
*Provide financial support and advice to executive leadership
*Ensure that business opportunities and threats are quickly identified and suitable action plans developed
*Provide and interpret monthly management accounts, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets
*Ensure the appropriate level of internal control is adhered to across all sites
*Identify and implement improvements to financial and related processes
*Ensure compliance with all relevant external and Group accounting requirements

Requirements

*Native-level Japanese and Business-level English language fluency
*Professional Accounting or related qualification
*8 years of progressive Accounting and Finance experience, including within a small subsidiary of a non-Japanese organisation
*Practical experience of strict internal controls and compliance implementation
*Leadership and a proven record of working directly with country and corporate management

* Remuneration: 10 to 13 Million Yen
