Company Description
* This company was created after the merger between two technology companies: one major US company and one major Japanese company. The company is very strong in the market for electrical components, both globally and here in Japan
Responsibilities
* Gather business requirements from functional managers and translate into technical requirements for ERP development team (Adexa package ERP)
* Drive the process to design, develop, and implement systems
* Develop software systems and environments for business, engineering, and manufacturing applications
* Determine program specifications, input/output processes, and system components for hardware and software compatibility
* Write program code and perform testing and debugging of applications using contemporary programming languages and technologies
* Monitor and refine processes constantly to ensure bug-free and high quality software that can be scaled across Asia Pacific and globally
Requirements
* 3+ years experience with SCM module in major ERP software package
* Familiar with production work flow, particularly in a manufacturing company
* Business orientation rather than technical orientation
* Adexa package experience is highly preferred, and will be considered a distinct advantage
* Strong communication and negotiation skill in Japanese and English, and sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
* Experience reconciling actual, and perceived, work-flow differences between Japan and overseas production process
Additional Notes
* Systems will also be implemented across Asia Pacific, so business travel within APAC region will be required
