Responsibilities

* Work together with external software developers to ensure availability of servers and services
* Design (technical & organizational) / monitor and implement regular full and incremental tape backups
* Monitoring server / OS health
* Assembling servers / rack installation of servers
* Setting up / monitoring various administration scripts
* Documenting of installation and administration procedures
* Troubleshooting server / OS / scripting problems
* Ensure secure operations of all servers and services through the use of security and encryption tools such as SSH, SSL, PGP
* Monitor system logs and activity on all servers
*Maintain OS and application software and hardware

Requirements

* Administration of UNIX / Linux based server systems.
* Administration + assembling of servers and server racks.
* Scripting (especially Bash)
* Administration of database management systems (Oracle and PostgreSQL)
* Administration of SSH Servers, open-source server / service monitoring applications
* Basic Windows 2000 and XP administration
* Working as middleman between business stakeholders and technical staff
* Translating non-technical business stakeholder requests into technical requirements

Remuneration:
*Salary: 5-7 million Yen
