Application Engineer

Responsibilities

* Reporting directly to the Japan IT Director
* Work with APAC business users for application development projects (English required)
* Manage the development process according to the business needs and schedule requirements
* Maintain high level of quality
* Explain technical concepts to non-technical users
* Interacts with all levels of management, at both Millipore and at suppliers

Requirements

* 5+ years of application dev experience, especially for ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc)
* Familiar with one or more of: C/C++, VB, Java, J2EE, XML, SQL, etc
* Database design and management experiences
* Basic knowledge in Project Management and System Development Life Cycle (PMP Certificate preferred)
* Results-oriented, ability to deliver results, and strong customer orientation
* Familiar with kaizen and continuous improvement techniques (Six Sigma preferred)
* Prefer experience with Lotus Notes
