Our client is a FMCG Fortune 100 company with double digit growth over the past 5 years
Responsibilities
*The Customer Marketing Manager (CMM) works with the Front Office Sales teams, Marketing and the Trade Promotions Manager to develop new solution orientated programs that deliver business results for the customers and for my client
* The CMM will interface with other internal departments (ISM, Professional Affairs, Supply Chain etc) when required, and form working relationships with outside Marketing and Promotional agencies to assist with new trade program development
More specifically, the CMM will:
* Develop customer-marketing strategies that align with company priorities and are based on knowledge of our marketplace, customer needs and patient insights
* Deliver new promotional ideas and concepts
* Develop customer specific promotional programs for customers that showcase their unique image and value proposition in partnership with the other brand of products
* Provide strategic guidance to the Front Office teams related to effective customer promotion activities
* When required, work directly with key customers to ensure that programs are built to meet their specific needs
* Contribute to the customer business planning process
* Have ownership for a Trade Promotions budget and is responsible for effectively maximizing the value of these funds
* Measures the return on investment from the utilization of trade BME funds
* Gather and share best practices with Global partners
Requirements

* Ability to work interdependently to identify business needs and opportunities and to develop solution orientated programs based on this need to increase sales effectiveness
* Strong computer skills, including web applications, MS Office applications, with full ability to access, query and research database and marketing applications
* Native level Japanese
KNOWLEDGE:
* Knowledge of Japanese retail markets an asset
* Strong business acumen
* Knowledge of strategies that drive category growth
* Expertise in managing a portfolio of complimentary brands
EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
*MBA is an asset
* 6-8 years in-depth experience in a consumer sales or marketing environment
* 4-6 years of total experience must be in direct sales, preferably in an environment that required a high level of selling based on consumer knowledge
* Previous work with sales teams in a consumer or health care environment is needed
* Have worked with third-party promotions agencies to develop promotional programs
* English communication ability is an asset
BUSINESS RESULTS
* Produces mutually beneficial customer marketing strategies, programs and guidelines that are based on patient insight
* Develops and implements trade promotion guidelines that include guidance on promotional price, brand representation and promotional vehicles

* Applies learning to improve trade fund (BME) return on investment
* Contributes to the annual Front Office business planning process
