Responsibilities
* Assist in all aspects of audits including risk assessments, audit planning, audit testing, control evaluation, report drafting and follow up and verification of issue closure.
* Ensure audits are performed to professional standards and departmental procedures.
* Partner with colleagues stakeholders and control community members to evaluate, test and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls with appropriate recommendations for improvement. This may be delivered through specific audit reviews or through ongoing involvement in major activities or projects.
* Partner with technology auditors to ensure that there is an integrated approach to audit coverage.
* Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify trends.
* Develop and maintain business relationships to monitor changes in the control environment.
* Travel as required.
Requirements
* A minimum of 10 years audit experience.
* Professional qualification and undergraduate degree or equivalent.
* Strong knowledge of the Asset Management industry, along with good end to end transaction cycles and systems in the business is a plus.
* Have a good understanding of the Japan regulatory requirements is a plus.
* Enthusiastic, self motivated, effective under pressure, and willing to take personal risk and accountability.
* Team player.
* Flexible, willing and able to undertake a broad range of tasks concurrently, whilst maintaining high level of accuracy and quality.
* Respond positively to change.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, both in English and Japanese.
