Responsibilities
*Daily communication with the trading desk (who sit opposite the MO)
*Daily control/reconciliation/substantiation checks for all trading activity (e.g., confirmation with counterparts both verbal and written)
*Contribution to global initiatives across PPB group
*Active contribution to projects regarding new products, systems enhancements and processes, acting as a cover for other team members, input into contingency planning
*Daily P&L production and substantiation
*Validation and reporting of risk positions
*Analysis of Cash predictions and funding requirements
Requirements
*Dynamic, diligent and quickly learning on the job who enjoys working in a fast-paced, global business with a focus on delivering on-time results
*Essential experience in fixed income market and product knowledge including settlement
*Previous experience working within a Middle Office, Product Control, IT or similar support environment
*Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Excel (e.g. VBA)
*Educated to degree level
*The position will have a balance of teamwork and independent work
*Candidate should possess working knowledge of fixed income products (Swaps, Swaptions, FX, JGBs, Options, Futures)
*2-4 years of experience in the financial industry and experienced enough to take ownership of tasks and follow-up until resolution
*Show sound time management, ability to multi-task and embrace change in the working environment
*Must have strong oral and written communication skills in English (Japanese language skills a plus)
*Experience in guiding or leading staff
