Responsibilities

*Being the overall manager of the Equities FVP team in Asia responsible for oversight the following duties within the team
*Daily p/l and position review and formulating risk based explanations to significant changes
*Review of significant transactions
*Conducting periodic price verification and provision calculation, mainly focusing in Equity Derivatives and Convertibles
*Formulating and reviewing policies and methodologies for price testing and provisioning, to ensure that they are adequately addressing current business risk profile
*Conducting review and controls around transactions booked with approximate loading
*Participating in projects, e.g. new model implementation, system upgrades etc, Conducting analysis in risk and p/l impact
*Being the primary contact with front office desk managers / middle office / controllers / market risk for issues related to equities valuation
*Representing FVP from equities perspective for global / regional initiatives, NBIA, projects etc.

Requirements

*Relevant experience of 7-8 yrs (e.g. Valuation Control, Product Control)
*Good understanding to equity derivatives products Strong leadership skills
*Sound knowledge in control
*Good Communication skills
*Ability to explain in a systematic and logically manner
*Be able to communicate people with different levels
*Independent self-starter to identify problems and issues, and drive to resolve issues down to the root
*Good quantitative and analytical skills
*Strong team player
*Relevant degree or qualifications in quantitative finance, accounting, mathematics or engineering
*Fluent English
*Putonghua / Japanese would be a plus but not essential
