Responsibilities
* Be responsible for the design and day-to-day administration of server, client (PC/Mobile), network and voice over IP infrastructure in Japan and other Asia Pacific countries
* Identify and drive cost reductions, service delivery improvements, process efficiencies, risk mitigation and standardization across Millipore businesses by working closely with global and other regional MIS infrastructure management teams
* Ensure the patch release process to deploy software changes / security patches per supplier(s), aligning with a defined support structure
* Manage escalated production problems within the MIS organization
* Monitor and track service level of day-to-day server, network and client (PC/Mobile) operations
* Assist in managing business and IT management expectations without compromising user relationship
* Participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of IT project and support procedures.
Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years of infrastructure support experience within an IT organization
* Technical knowledge and work experiences with multiple operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux, etc.) and Cisco products including routers
* Experience of Lotus Notes application support
* Basic knowledge in project management and SDLC
Additional Notes
-Preferred (Plus) Experience:
* Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma
* Design, development and/or support of Data and Voice over IP telecommunication technology
