Responsibilities
*Responsible for Settlement functions related to Domestic Fixed Income products (e.g., JGB/Corporates/CPl/loans) dealt by FID Business lines in Tokyo
*Report to Fixed Income Operations Head (Senior VP), based in Tokyo
*Responsible for accurate/timely settlement of JGB and other domestic FID instruments inclusive of loans as well as Fixed Income Custody service for our affiliate companies
*Manage Domestic FID Settlement Group (1 AVP, 4 staff) and Custody (1 AVP, 2 staff) for objective setting, development and performance review, comp decision;
*Coordinate with other groups in Ops or relevant departments for best executions of responsible functions and planned tasks
*Lead planning/driving strategic changes or mandatory changes closely working with a Fixed Income Operations Head
*Ensure internal policy/rules as well as regulatory compliance is adhered to in the area of responsibility
*Ensure identified risks are adequately controlled by operational settlement risk mitigation actions
*Ensure quality client services are given to internal/external clients and actively involve in providing operational inputs for any new business opportunities
Requirements
*More than about 10+ years of FID Settlement experience (both on domestic and custody)
*Experience of managing about 5-8 people
*Good people leader
*Strong Client Centricity Mind-set
*Change/lean mind-set for efficiency increase and resolve root causes for identified issues
*Good understanding of both Domestic Income Products, and if possible loan background
*Control focus and understanding of regulatory requirements
*Ability to understand and address their issues & needs within the Operations team, other BO department members and the Business
*Strong problem solving skills
