VP - Fund Manager

Company Description

Our client is a fast-growing private equity fund management company aiming to identify and secure the best real estate investment opportunties in Asia and Europe.

Responsibilities

*Work with the Fund Manager to formulate fund investment strategy
*Work with the Fund Manager on assessing deals/opportunities (micro approach to investment strategy)
*Attend pipeline meetings
*Review and inout of letter of intent
*Review and input to draft Investment Committee papers
*Assisting in due diligence on larger transactions, i.e site visits, structuring etc
*Participating in Investment Committee meetings
*Work with the Fund Manager on investor reporting and presentations (in close liaison with the Investor Relations contact)
*Quarterly Reporting
*Quarterly Webcasts
*Investment Advisory Committee (IAC) presentations
*Research (macro approach to Investment Strategy)
*Keeping on top and maintaining a database of relevant global and regional macroeconomic and property market trends
*Regularly reviewing research papers, publications and attending conferences
*Regular input to the company and preparation of the quarterly presentations
*Work with the Fund Manager in fund level related requirements
*Compliance with the fund agreements
*Managing the role of the IAC
*Fund level inputs i.e hedging, tax, overheads (in close liaison with the Asia Treasurer)
*Annual business plan and budget
*Assist in the design of the fund model and review of fund model inputs, outputs and sensitivities (in close liaison with Fund Model -Performance Manager and Fund Controller)
*Drafting and preparation of external papers and speeches (in close liaison with the Investor Relations contact)

Requirements

*At least 5 years experience with fund mgment in foreign capital company, ideally in real estate industry
*Fluent English and Japanese in order to interact with both internal staff and overseas Investment Committee
*Strong analytical, numerical and verbal reasoning skills.
*Strong sense of urgency and an ability to work to tight deadlines

Remuneration:
*From 15 million JPY base salary
