In addition to corporate investment banking services like securities underwriting and mergers and acquisitions advice, the firm offers brokerage and asset management products and services for institutional and individual investors
Responsibilities
*Evaluate the credit worthiness of Japanese corporations and assign internal credit ratings, which link to credit risk exposure limits
*Monitor daily credit events and quarterly financial results of existing clients
*As a member of the Asian Credit Committee, assign credit ratings to clients in Asia. Prepare credit write-ups to recommend internal ratings at Committee for one’s own assigned clients
*Provide internal assessments of key tenants, operators, and sponsors in loans structured for securitization
*Asses how covenants, collateral, and other conditions for loans and derivative transactions mitigate risk. Discuss the credit worthiness of clients with approval committee and recommend terms and conditions
*For loan transactions, work effectively with external clients and across internal departments.
*Participate in due diligence, prepare financial projections through the financing team and present credit opinions to senior managers overseas.
Requirements
*University graduate
*Solid corporate credit analysis experience or corporate finance background with good knowledge of Japanese accounting
*Native Japanese language proficiency with good written English
*Team player
*Experiences in leveraged finance and loan structuring (leveraged by-outs, management buy-out, etc)
*Derivatives products knowledge
Additional Notes
Remuneration: 7-11M JPY base depending on skills and experience
