Company Description
*Our client is a medical products company specializing in the manufacture of surgically implanted products
*They have a mid-sized operation in Japan with just over 70 staff and have been growing steadily at over 20% annually since they were founded in Japan
*They are looking for a flexible person with strong communication and leadership skills to join their team and manage the accounting function
Responsibilities
*Report to COO in Japan and manage one permanent accounting and one temporary staff
*Provide timely and accurate financial statements to headquarters
*Prepare monthly financial reports in US GAAP
*Coordinate with auditors and prepare tax base financial statements for tax return
*Prepare annual budget and update quarterly forecast
*Ensure effective internal controls in place
*Promote rationalization of accounting process and procedures to materialize cost effective controls and administrative services
*Perform cash forecast and prepare vouchers for disbursement
Requirements
*University degree in accounting, finance, or other business related subject
*7 – 10 years of accounting experience
*Knowledge of Japanese statutory reporting and tax requirements
*Ability to communicate well and take a constructive approach to problem solving
*Ability to cooperate with others and coordinate with other departments (including head office) as needed
*Leaderships skills and ability to manage and develop staff

Remuneration:
*Up to 12 million yen depending on skills and experience
