Company Description
Global leader in investment banking is actively seeking an outgoing and confident candidate with accounting skills and an interest in investment banking to strengthen their team.
Responsibilities
*Executing the planning, field work and reporting stages of risk based audits, reviews and continuous auditing projects. *Raising audit issues that add value to the business and improve the control environment.
*Developing and managing relationships with key internal clients and colleagues including regular meetings with the local CAO, CFO and senior business management.
*Contributing to various key control related functions and projects including regular control and new product committees. *Provide advice to our internal clients in a trusted advisor capacity.
*Assisting in Corporate Audit’s annual risk assessment and development of the annual audit plan including coordination with other regional and global audit teams.
*Providing audit support to the Japan Technology Audit Team and participating in integrated business and technology audits.
Requirements
*Minimum of 4 years in banking /finance industry experience (2-3 years in audit environment preferred either in an internal audit function in banking and finance or with the Big 4).
*Excellent understanding of audit fundamentals, including risk assessment.
*Have good business accumen and knowledge of investment banking and capital markets business process flow.
*The highest standard in communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with people at all levels of an organization (both internal clients and colleagues).
*A mature individual, proactive in nature, assertive, inquisitive, tenacious and analytical, excellent attention to detail, ability to work well in a team of diverse backgrounds, based in multiple locations.
*Bilingual (Japanese and English), especially with ability to read and write Japanese at business level
*Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desirable.
*CPA qualified an advantage.
*Fluency in written and spoken English. Japanese skills an advantage
