To meet the demand for increased quality in their risk-based internal audits, they are looking for a senior business auditor to join their regional team and sit in Tokyo.
Responsibilities
*Auditors can be assigned various projects within different areas of the firm’s business in Japan, including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, asset management, and support functions such as global operations, controllers, credit and proprietary accounting and risk analysis. *Auditors may also participate in global audit projects and work closely with colleagues from other offices.
*Perform audits as a lead auditor or under the direction of another lead auditor, within assigned budgets and deadlines, which evaluate internal controls, risks involved and the efficiency of various firm operations
*Analyze business/operational processes focusing on evaluation/testing of internal controls
*Interview individuals and investigate/ document the analysis in organized workpapers
*Draft the results of the audit work in a written report
*Negotiate and convince management of risks involved and get consensus on resolutions
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree required; preference for finance, accounting or economics degrees
*5-7 years of auditing experience or at least 5 years of work experience in the financial services industry (Certifications in CIA, CISA, CFA, or CPA preferred)
*Strong intellectual ability, determination, possess high ethical standards, and strong analytical and communication skills
*Strong project management and leadership skills
*Strong English ability both written and verbal is required as all audit reports are written in English. Bilingual in English and Japanese is preferred
*Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is a must and knowledge of Access and PowerPoint is useful
