Responsibilities

Primary Job Responsibility:
*Network Processor Field Applications Engineer
*Provide pre and post design win technical support to system OEMs in system level development of Network Processors in carrier class systems

Pre-design win efforts include:
*Supporting sales in engaging our target customers to understand their platform requirements and propose solutions based on MND products
*Demonstrate our Network processor H/W and S/W tools
*Support customer in performance analysis of our Network Processor solutions
*Provide Network Processor training (short version)

Post Design win efforts include:
*Support customers in development and debugging of fast path data path protocol algorithms, scheduling configurations, framer and fabric integration
* Provide Network Processor training (multi-day version)
* Coordinate schematic and layout reviews
* Coordinate and participate in customer code reviews
* Support customers in system bring-up and hardware/software debug

Requirements

*Minimum of 3 years experience as a system level S/W development engineer on datacom and/or telecom development projects - ideally with Network Processors or 3 years experience as an applications engineer for Network Processor products
*Excellent problem solving and communication skills (Japanese and English) required. Knowledge of data networking protocols such as SONET, IP, Ethernet, and ATM required
*Hands-on lab debug experience required. Programming skills with C, C++ and RTOS device driver firmware required

-Preferred Experience:
*BSEE or BSCE required, MSCE or MSEE preferred
