Company Description

*The American based company has continuously grown its business and developed its brand in Japan over the last decade
*They need a talented person to join their Finance & Accounting team in a newly created position focusing on their retail accounting functions
Responsibilities
*Responsible for revenue and inventory accounting as well as support for retail the business and logistic operation.
*Supervise five accounting staff in two teams (inventory and sales audit)
*Closing - Review monthly closing schedule for the team and follow up to meet deadlines
*Accruals - Review material accruals for revenue/costing
*Reserves - Review inventory accruals and reserves
*Reports for closing - Review inventory report to analyze the inventory and cost of goods sold for closing
*Reports for operation improvement - Review credit card, return/exchange transactions report; working with retail operation to reduce the exceptional transactions
*Store Audit Review - Prepare store audit result report to Finance and Retail Operation to confirm the process is aligned to retail operation manual and complies with key internal control; working with Retail Operation to review the result and develop the action plans
*B/S Reconciliation - Review B/S reconciliations
Requirements
*Professional qualification - CPA, Bachelors degree in Accounting, MBA, etc.
*Retail experience
*Management experience
*Strong English skills and native Japanese language skills
