The Japanese branch was established in 1954 in Tokyo, acting as a core base in Asia focusing on private banking, global trading, capital market operations and others.
Responsibilities
*Be responsible for communicating with and advising FRC-E on the impact of any changes to FRC-E processes
*Be responsible for overseeing the implementation of new processes within Finance at a local market level
*Participate in project teams established to implement new products within Japan
*Identify the potential impact to Finance, both locally and at FRC-E
*Liaise and assist the relevant functions to implement revised processes within the necessary timetable
*Work with International Finance re-engineering teams to implement Regional/Global initiatives
*Review existing local Finance processes and work with local functions to improve efficiency/quality of those processes
*Support other Engineering functions within the Japan business groups on an ad-hoc basis
*Work with the ICU function to ensure that Management Actions proposed within their reviews are successfully implemented
*Support the Y2k process for Finance while this remains relevant to the Company
*Provide additional resource to other functions within Controller area as may be necessary from time to time
Requirements

*Basic accounting knowledge
*Analytical and Thinking Skills
*Oral and written English skills are important to the position
*Interpersonal skills to deal with internal customers
*Willingness to learn new skills
