Responsibilities

*Develop a compelling Personal Investment solution and product line to attract new clients and urge existing ones to upgrade their relationships
*Develop customer acquisition programs to increase the customer base from 20,000 to over 100,000 in the next 3 years
*Develop channel expansion strategies to allow us to acquire and service clients in a cost effective manner
*Analyze existing client data to understand both impediments to asset gathering and retention, and opportunities for promotion and communications efforts designed to gather and retain assets
*Meet regularly with colleagues inside of the marketing organization to understand the products and services and their relative performance in the marketplace
*Conceive, initiate and maintain external partnerships with media suppliers, vendors, alliance partners to advance our marketing programs and activities
*Coordinate activities to maximize leverage with Intermediary Marketing programs
*Leverage work done in other Fidelity offices and set industry leading standards for marketing programs.
*Share best practices developed in Japan with other worldwide offices
*Team management—conduct staff evaluations, provide counsel for staff development plans, and mentor and support staff as they develop competencies
*Work with agency and vendor partners to ensure high quality cost effective vendor support is delivered, and make constructive evaluations of agency work
*Understanding the legal and regulatory framework and help the team comply while delivering against the marketing needs

Requirements

*Financial services professional with 8-10 years of marketing and/or retail business development experience
*Staff management and or team leadership experience, working with more junior staff members and less experienced staff
*Experience working in financial services, preferably in asset management organization
*Experience working in an direct sales environment, especially through web and phone center channels
*Good writing skills, communication and presentation skills
*Excellent project management skills
*Bilingual in English and Japanese
