Trade Compliance Analyst

Responsibilities

*Checking account guidelines against the daily trading activity
*Position requires frequent interaction with Account and Portfolio Management as well as the Legal department on regulatory and guideline issues
*Participate in various ad hoc projects as assigned (these tend to be research oriented)
*Check trades to ensure compliance with client guidelines and regulations at time of trade
*Create and maintain new security masters

Requirements

*Fluent in English and Japanese
*At least, 1-2 years experience in the compliance, risk management or operations area of a financial institution, preferably at an asset management firm
*Experience checking trades against investment guidelines is a plus
*Basic knowledge of financial products
Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and basic knowledge of other MS programs such as Powerpoint and Access preferred
*Good working knowledge of Excel macros is a plus
*Capability to manage multiple tasks with tight time deadlines
*Capability to organize and prioritize tasks
*Ability to work under pressure with a fair degree of autonomy as well as in a team environment is essential
*Ambitious spirit is a must
