Responsibilities
*Supporting the business for Exotic equity derivatives
*Ensuring accuracy of daily P&L’s
*New deal review and approval
*Ensuring products are correctly valued, adequately reserved and appropriate controls are being applied
*Understanding new business structures together with valuation parameters and system bookings
*Assisting in implementing new systems and processes
*Analyzing impacts of new accounting or reporting requirements and providing feedback to the business on their impact
*Supporting the business with respect to requests for data analysis
*Develop a strong working relationship with the Front Office and other support areas.
Ad-hoc analysis
*Development and support of the team in their daily roles
*Staff training
Requirements
*Further qualifications after degree are preferable (CFA, CIMA, ACA, Masters etc)
*Mathematical degree (Economics, Mathematics, Science, Engineering) 2.1 or above
*Previous experience in product control within a derivatives area, equity derivatives experience is preferable
*Outgoing personality, quick learner, ambitious, adaptable, strong team player, deadline and goal orientated
*Good Organizational Skills
*The environment requires a high level of initiative to address issues as they arise and confidence in analyzing and presenting financial data
*Good communicator: The role requires high level of interaction with the trading desk, middle office and IT. Need to demonstrate confidence in discussing complex issues
*Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
