Investment Accounting Group – Staff

Company Description

Important global insurance player is seeking a talented individual to compliment their Investment Accounting Group. The successful candidate will work closely with team members in the Investment Division, the Financial Reporting Group, and the European headquarters.

Responsibilities

*Create financial statements under JGAAP, US GAAP and IFRS, with a solid understanding of these principles in the investment arena
*Give advice and proposals to the investment section as well as the investment administration section
*Instruct the outsourcee on accounting work, and to manage its time line and quality of deliverables
*Verify the accounting records and make adjusted journal entries to JGAAP, US GAAP and IFRS
*Verify the financial statement
*Assist with external audit
*Take initiative on certain projects

Requirements

Core Competencies:
*Accounting knowledge (J-GAAP,US-GAAP,IFRS)
*Knowledge about investment products and investment accounting
*Practical accounting skill (experience on closure work)
*Fluent English
*Native level Japanese
*Negotiation skill

Technical Skills/Experience:
*Finance degree/ professional qualification
*Working experience in financial institution (mainly accounting section or investment back office)

Remuneration:
4- 7Million yen +O/T Allowance+Variable Bonus
