Compliance Officer

Company Description

Asset Management arm of highly successful European financial institution seeks an experienced Compliance Officer to help establish a new Alternative Investment Entity (securities products) dealing with structured products and hedge fund business. This is a fantastic opportunity to help start-up a new business under the support of a proven entity.

Responsibilities

*Report to CEO of the new business
*Responsible for contracts an all other legal matters
*Negotiate with external regulators as well as other institutions in the industry
*Daily compliance business covering all processes and divisions of the business
*Compliance issues related to sales activity are a priority
*Planning, implementation and education on the entities compliance program
*Establishment of compliance program and company rules

Requirements

*Native-level ability in Japanese
*Business-level English
*JSDA Level 1 & 2 strongly preferred
*JSDA Naibu Kanri required
*Working experience in financial industry and sufficient knowledge of local laws and regulations - including financial laws
*High level of knowledge of securities investment business preferred.
*Negotiation skill with regulatory bodies such as FSA, MOF and BOJ
*Strong knowledge and experience of internal control environment
*Good communication skills with front/middle and back office.

12 to 20 million JPY
