Client Support

Contingency Service

Fees for Contingency assignments are only requested upon the successful placement of a candidate. We will therefore source and introduce candidates to you, manage the negotiation process, and keep fine-tuning our search criteria until you exchange contracts with your new employee. Only then will we issue an invoice for our services. Below are the steps our consultants are required to follow in order to fulfill your needs:

1. Client Consultation: A consultant will visit your office or speak to you over the telephone (at your convenience) and ask for a detailed description of the kind of candidate you are seeking, the role that he or she will fill, and the conditions of employment.

2. Candidate Sourcing: Candidates are sourced via several methods, as outlined below:

  • Searching our extensive candidate database
  • Searching industry-specific third-party databases of job seekers
  • Posting job advertisements on both our English and Japanese websites
  • Posting job advertisements in English and Japanese on a number of specialist job sites
  • Leveraging our specialist networks and business contacts
  • Targeted networking and candidate community building activities to bring us closer to the people with the talents you need

3. Candidate Interviews: All sourced candidates are pre-screened by our consultants, who will interview them thoroughly to appraise their personality, motivations, expectations, background and language skills.

4. Candidate Shortlist and Interview Management: Once the initial screening process is complete, we will introduce qualified candidates to you, and offer advice on their skills and personality profiles, as well as career and salary expectations.

5. Interview Feedback: All communications and interview arrangements between you and the candidate will be managed by the consultant responsible for your account.

6. Aftercare Service: Following the successful placement of a candidate, we will maintain regular contact with both you and the candidate throughout the probationary period to ensure smooth progress and to provide advice and assistance should a dispute arise. We will continue to remain in contact as part of our commitment to building long-lasting business relationships.
