Responsibilities
The transactions typically include a wide range of equipment, software and service product offerings and may include offerings from other business units.
Acting as a strategic business partner, the Senior Counsel is expected to provide advice to the senior P&L/Product leaders on observed opportunities and strategic direction. Reports directly to the General Counsel of Japan
Requirements
- Japanese bar membership
- strong common law understanding.
- Minimum 6 years of business law experience at a large law firm or corporate legal departmen
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex business transactions, including licensing deals.
- Experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in an extremely fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Experience of the Healthcare industry
- Medical industry regulations (FDA, Medicare/ Medicaid anti-kickback) knowledge
Desired Traits
- Communicate using Japanese and English and outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
