Responsibilities
- Managing and/or assisting with major projects by providing professional advice and guidance from the legal point of view to Japan Management and Project teams for a sound decision making for the business;
- Assisting in the development of strategies for the protection, maintenance and better exploitation of intellectual property within the Japan business;
- Conducting the day to day legal and regulatory affairs of the Japan business including negotiating, drafting and negotiating a wide range of distribution, commercial, procurement and IS contracts
- Developing and implementing efficiency initiatives for the Japan legal team
- Managing and mentoring the Legal staff in Japan
Requirements
- 3-8 years of in-house legal affairs experience
- Qualified with a Law Degree from a Japanese university
- Demonstrated strong strategic thinking in providing advice and guidance from the legal point of view to support Japan business objectives
- Broad and deep knowledge and experience regarding Japanese registrations and legal requirements for our business
- Fluent communication verbally and in writing both in Japanese and English
Preferred Experience
- FMCG experience is advantaged

- Able to work under pressure, plan and prioritize and meet deadlines
