Responsibilities
- Develop local market research plan
incorporating potential business needs
- Conduct primary market research
studies for assigned therapeutic area(s) from defining problem, developing an
approach, conducting data analysis/interpretation, extracting
insights.
- Communicate strategic insights and recommendation based on primary
market research conducted, both to brand teams and senior
management
- Leverage multiple primary and secondary data sources to develop
strategic recommendations for promoted products
- Improve on existing market
research methods to gather customer insights more effectively and efficiently;
this may include piloting new methodologies, leveraging existing programs,
etc.
- Control quality, time and cost of each project consistently.
- Share
learnings across market research organization locally and globally to develop
best practices and improve local market research execution
- Become an expert
in the customers (physicians, patients, payers, advocates, and thought leaders)
and overall Japan market for ensuring that customer and market insights are
integrated into all relevant business and marketing decisions at both local and
global level
Requirements
- Pharmaceutical market experience at a
strategic analysis level (e.g. consulting, I-Banking, market research company,
or pharma/device maker)
- Market research company (Experience of planning,
fielding, analysis and recommendation of primary market research projects)
except for those companies only operate as internet quant market research data
collectors
- Cross-cultural experience (work or
study abroad)

- Strong analytical skills
- Curiosity to understand customers (including healthcare
providers, patients and care-givers) deeply
- Working across diverse functions
