WSA Women's Association
WSA Female Employee "Spotlight"
Initial Position
I wanted to have a job that would allow me to use English and my customer service experience. With these as my wishes for my new workplace, I joined Wall Street Associates as a Team Support staff focusing on the IT sector.
Opportunity to the step-up
I did not have any knowledge or experience about the IT industry before I joined, but through my daily work I was exposed to a great deal of information, and little by little I began to understand all the technical terms, and the pieces of the puzzle slowly began falling into place. The more I understood the technical terms, the more interested I became in IT, and the more involved I became in working with consultants to match candidates and jobs. I was eventually able to take the position of Associate Consultant in the IT Consulting team.
As a female employee of the WSA
For the last year and a half in WSA’s international working environment, I not only improved my English ability (my TOEIC score increased by 100 points!) but I also learned the importance of being prompt and accurate, of business procedures and following-up. Now, going forward, I am really looking forward to learning even more as an Associate Consultant.
Initial Position
It has been ten months since I joined Wall Street Associates in April 2007. During this period, I have been working as a Sales Operations Specialist, a back office role which supports our Consultants.
Opportunity to the step-up
In this role, I became more and more interested in the Consulting process between our Consultants, our Client Companies and our Candidates. I communicated my enthusiasm to our Human Resource Department, and as a result from this month as an Associate Consultant, I am able to engage more deeply in various consultant activities.
As a female employee of the WSA
Wall Street Associates has a comfortable working environment that provides plenty of opportunities to people if they want to challenge themselves and try new things. This is one of the company’s attractive points.
