Maki Mizuhara, WSA Nagoya Office Speaks About :

It is said that the relationships between work and private life are constantly changing, and current companies are now looking for workers who can manage and develop themselves within this change. Keeping this idea in mind, Maki Mizuhara, WSA Nagoya Office Director, presented a seminar with the topic "Carrier and Market value of MBA Holders in Japan." This seminar was held on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the Nagoya University of Commerce and Business (NUCB) Graduate School campus.

The NUCB Graduate School was ranked by the AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) as having the second best business program on among all Universities in Japan. The AACSB International is the global authority as a university evaluation organization and is held in high standing. NUCB was come second to only one University, the Keio University Graduate School Management Graduate course.

Approximately 40 participants, who also attended the NUCB Graduate School open campus, joined in the WSA seminar. Most of the participants live and work in the Chubu district and were interested in the real value of an MBA among companies in the area. Ms. Mizuhara’s presentation was taken from research and data, based on over 100 successful introductions of MBA holders by Wall Street Associates. This was second time for WSA to hold the lecture at NUCB Graduate School, although it was the first time during the open campus. The seminar was a very prosperous event with many questions being asked by participants such as how long an MBA was looked at as valuable, and the average salary of an MBA holder etc.

Wall Street Associates has a number of registered MBA holders, and we expect to participate in similar events in the future to make use of our expertise and knowledge.
