Nick Johnston visited the National Center for Child Medical Health and Development to support the Tyler Foundation

On Wednesday, January 16, 2008 Nick Johnston, President and CEO of Wall Street Associates, visited the National Center for Child Medical Health and Development in Setagaya, Tokyo in order to encourage the children there who receive treatment for conditions such as infant diseases. He visited the Center with “Second Wind AC” , an athletic club which develops the next generation of marathon runners. Wall Street Associates (WSA) actively supports "the Tyler Foundation" as a corporate partner.

The Tyler Foundation is a Japan-based, non-profit organization supporting children with cancer and their families in Japan. The foundation was established in 2005 by Mark Ferris and Kimberly Forsythe who lost their son Tyler to acute infant lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Tyler was diagnosed with ALL when he was less than one month old and passed away at 23 months old in spite of strenuous treatment.

For this visit, Nick Johnston was accompanied by Manager Manabu Kawagoe, Kiyoko Shimahara, and Kaori Yoshida of "the Second Wind AC" to visit the hospital in order to the encourage the children who fought against illness, as one of the supporting activities for The Tyler Foundation.

WSA would like as many people as possible to know about the Tyler Foundation and its activities.  Nick Johnston said that he will look for any opportunity to support the Tyler Foundation. At the moment, Nick is coordinating the “Shine On Marathon Challenge,” which is an effort to raise money for the Tyler Foundation by sponsoring runners in the 2008 Tokyo Marathon, to be held on Sunday, February 17.
