Other panelists included an HR Director of a major foreign investment bank, an Assistant Director of HR at a large international life insurance and investments company, and an Executive Coach with over 14 years prior experience in finance in Tokyo. The discussion was moderated by a Director at an international bank and lending institution.

Having formerly been in the investment banking industry, and now with over 10 years experience leading a specialized recruitment firm, Nick offered practical advice to job seekers about how to effectively screen and manage recruitment agencies. He encouraged candidates to become more proactive in their relationship with recruiters by interviewing their recruitment consultants face-to-face, and making sure they are specialized and experienced in the market.

"All panelists were rewarded with an honorary one-year membership to the Association of Women in Finance."

Specific topics included how to break into finance, identifying the right company and cultural fit, interview preparation tips, transitioning into other positions in the industry, and how to make the most out of individual professional networks. Also discussed was the hot topic of women in finance, and specifically the huge potential and growing demand for more women in the industry.
